Eczmol is a new type of product now available in the UK. Officially it is called an antimicrobial emollient and soap substitute, however it has been designed as an antimicrobial product to provide cover specifically against the bug known as Staphylococcus aureus. This bug is widespread in nature, but has a particular affiliation with dry skin and eczema. There is also a correlation between increasing levels of Staphylococcus aureus and severity of eczema.

Eczmol has been designed as a product to specifically control the levels of Staph aureus, whilst allowing patients the freedom to continue using their existing moisturiser/emollient.
